About

Thais graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from the Federal University of São Paulo. She joined the Lifemark Health Group as a Physiotherapist Assistant in early 2014, later becoming fully registered with the Physiotherapy Alberta College and Association.

Thais has completed the Canadian Orthopedic Division Level I Training in Manual Therapy as well as Part A & B of the McKenzie® Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). She continues to actively pursue and participate in continuing education courses.

Her practice has been focused on musculoskeletal injuries as well as biomechanical dysfunctions. She is passionate about her profession and truly emphasizes the one-on-one approach. In 2018, Thais joined the Alberta's Workers Compensation Board (WCB) Shoulder Program, assisting patients during their conservative and/or post-surgical rehabilitation.

After years working mostly with shoulders, Thais decided to further develop her knowledge and expertise in regards to Upper Extremity care.  She dedicated extensive time & efforts on learning this new skill set and, in November of 2021, she passed the Hand Therapy Certification Exam and proudly became a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).

Beside English, Thais also has knowledge of Portuguese (native), Spanish (basic) and Italian (basic-intermediate). For approximately 10 years, Thais played competitive-level volleyball when in Brazil and in her spare time, she enjoys adventuring and photographing the world.
