Thom graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy with a diploma in Massage Therapy, as well as a Bachelor with honours in Sports Science from Exeter University (UK). He is a fully licensed RMT and active member with College of Massage Therapy of BC since 2012. He has completed additional training in Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization and Graston Technique.
Thom’s background comes primarily from a sporting aspect, competing at varying levels in a wide variety of sports. As an athlete, he is fascinated with the human body. It is amazing how many extraordinary things the human body can achieve but its susceptibility to injury is the root of Thom’s focus. Injury is what first exposed him to the benefits of Massage Therapy, and subsequently ignited his passion to pursue a career in manual therapy. If you are experiencing any soft tissue related pain or would like to improve functional movement or sporting performance, Thom will tailor a treatment session to your needs and work with you to achieve your goals.
Outside of the clinic Thom can be found enjoying the outdoors doing a range of activities; hiking and kayaking in the summer, skiing in the winter, and biking all year around.
