Torri completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree at the University of Alberta after obtaining her undergrad degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. Throughout her academic career, she worked as a personal trainer, where she enjoyed educating and supporting clients throughout their fitness journey and goal setting to form life-long sustainable healthy habits. Her passion for leading an active, healthy lifestyle has fueled and sustained her interest in Physical Therapy ever since she was a young athlete herself.
Torri utilizes an evidence-based approach targeting recovery, management and prevention of further injury to assist and encourage her patients to take an active role in their rehabilitation. Her focus is on individualized exercise programs, manual therapy, patient education and self-management strategies to optimize quality of life throughout all stages of recovery. She highlights the importance of accountability to goals. Torri is committed to life-long learning as she continues to work towards postgraduate courses in orthopaedics, sports and dry needling to enhance her practice and ultimately benefit her patients.
She was raised in Cold Lake, Alberta where she gained an appreciation for all things outdoors. When away from the clinic, she can be found competing or participating in activities such as softball, running, cross country skiing, road biking, hiking, snowboarding and all water activities. Aside from her education and physical activities, her main pastime consists of day trips to the mountains and backpacking to foreign countries.
