Born and raised in Calgary, Wesley earned his Bachelor of Kinesiology with distinction at the University of Calgary and went on to receive his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. As a previous competitive basketball player, he gained an appreciation of the unique challenges individuals face, both mental and physical, when returning to activity after injury. He began coaching youth basketball as an outlet for both his love of the game and passion for helping others.
Wesley is always keen to further his knowledge of rehabilitation and the human body. During his undergrad, he became a contributing author to a published research study on cartilage and osteoarthritis. He is currently working to expand his manual therapy skills by completing level one of the National Orthopaedic Levels.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Wesley on the trails with his dog Luka, snowboarding, playing basketball, or hitting the gym to work on his squat. Growing up he played a variety of other sports, including football, track, and volleyball. With an athletic background, Wesley finds satisfaction in working as a team with the client to reach their goals. A combination of manual therapy, functional and client-specific exercise, and promotion of independence is his preferred method to get you back to what you love.
