Shahnaz’s expertise includes treating sports injuries, motor vehicle accidents, chronic pain management, and post-surgical rehabilitation and he has a special interest in shoulder and neck dysfunctions.

Shahnaz believes in the mantra of a detailed assessment followed by educating the patient on the presenting condition and a treatment plan formulated to meet individual needs and goals to relieve pain, regain mobility, and achieve functional independence. In a treatment session, Shahnaz utilizes evidence-based practice, incorporating electrotherapeutic modalities with manual therapy and a tailored exercise program to help his patients recover and improve their physical function, and get the best possible outcome.

On a personal front, Shahnaz is married to a physiotherapist and together they are parents to two sons – one in high school and the other one in primary. Shahnaz is an avid sportsman with a keen interest in cricket and has actively played at all the places that he has been, presently enjoying playing cricket in the Edmonton Cricket League.
