About

Garland completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia before finishing her Physical Therapy training at the University of Alberta in 2021. She is originally from Edmonton but her love for the mountains brought her to the beautiful city of Calgary.

Garland is passionate about understanding her client’s stories and finding out what is meaningful to them to help them through their rehab journey. She has spent time helping individuals rehabilitate in the Return to Work and Traumatic Brain Injury programs. She has also volunteered with numerous organizations such as Reyu Paralysis Centre, Alberta Aphasia camps and Cerebral Palsy Association of Alberta. She takes an individualized approach that prioritizes education, exercise therapy and hands-on techniques to help reduce and manage pain. She is interested in supporting people with persistent pain, concussions, neurological conditions and musculoskeletal injuries anywhere in the body.

Outside of the clinic, you can find her hiking up mountains, running, doing hot yoga and keeping a healthy balance by devouring ice cream from Made by Marcus on a biweekly basis.
