Note: Donna Laursen, MT, CLDR is on an extended leave and is expected to return in the spring of 2024.
Donna is the Clinic Director and a Manual Therapist at Lifemark Physiotherapy - Synergy, specializing in rehabilitation and pain management.
She is a graduate of MacEwan University and is currently completing her Graduate Studies in Pain Management from the FGSR: Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta. She is a member in good standing with the Massage Therapy Association of Alberta, Canadian Physiotherapy Association (divisions: Pain Management, Neuroscience, and Leadership), Canadian College of Health Leaders, International Association for the Study of Pain, Canadian Pain Society, Pain Society of Alberta, and is a Certified Provider with The Arthritis Society.
Donna has a keen interest in the human body and practices with the intention of rehabilitating and maintaining bodies for those who are motivated to enjoy life. An athletic, outdoorsy, equestrian and dog lover, Donna enjoys all aspects of life; she is a traveller/backpacker (safaried in Africa, studied in an ashram in India, scuba-dived in Australia, climbed the highest mountains in three countries, volunteered as a medical aid in Haiti as a retired E.R and O.R Nurse, and hiked the Himilayan Mountains). She skydives, golfs, hikes, kayaks and rides a motorcycle. However, she also believes in and enjoys the simple pleasures in life - a cozy blanket, hot coffee, and a good book.
Her philosophy is "You need your body in good shape in order to show up in ways that matter, to you, to your friends and family, and to the little ones in your life." - Donna Laursen MT, CLDR - Relax, Give Back, & Have Fun!
