Jayla graduated from the Master of Physical Therapy program at the University of Saskatchewan in 2018 and from the Bachelor of Kinesiology program at the University of Regina in 2014.

She has competed her Level 1 Acupuncture Canada Certification, Complete Concussion Management Program (CCMI), Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200-Hr) training through YogaFit Canada, and Sports First Responder. She is currently working on advancing her skills through the Orthopedic Division education system. She plans to obtain certification in Gunn IMS (intramuscular stimulation) needling and vestibular therapy.

Jayla enjoys helping all ages attain their treatment goals with exercise prescription, manual therapy techniques and implementing an active treatment approach. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active with recreational sports, traveling, and participating in outdoor activities throughout all seasons with her husband and their dog.
