About

Mark believes that the key to a successful treatment plan is client empowerment and providing them with the understanding and tools necessary to be the champion of their own treatment. He believes strongly in client education to better help his clients understand their injury/condition, the sources of their pain, and how to self-manage and guide their recovery while receiving support and guidance through in-clinic treatment. Mark’s treatment style includes therapeutic exercise plans/programs, hands-on manual therapy treatment, and pain management using therapeutic modalities when appropriate. Mark takes an active approach to treatment but understands that every client presents with different needs and at different stages of their injury. He is highly understanding and flexible when treatment planning to meet the specific needs of the client. He is very passionate about helping clients reach their goals whether they have a clear functional goal or to live their life with better pain management.

Mark originally hails from Milton, Ontario. He graduated in 2016 with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Physical Education from Wilfrid Laurier University. In 2018, he moved to the East Coast to attend Dalhousie University, and in 2020 graduated with his Master of Science in Physiotherapy degree. He was recognized with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Orthopaedic Division Award for a high level of academic and clinical performance in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Mark is incredibly passionate about living a physically active lifestyle. He was involved in organized athletics from a young age and has played a diversity of sports including soccer, hockey, rugby, and football. He was a competitive football player at Wilfrid Laurier University and continues his football career through coaching. In his time on the East Coast he has coached with Saint Mary’s University serving as the wide receivers coach and most recently has been working with Football Nova Scotia with the U18 and U16 programs. In his free time, he can be found playing recreational sports, cooking for his fiancée Angela, or playing with his dog Sunny, except for on Sundays where he is an avid NFL football fan and can be found cheering on his favourite team the Indianapolis Colts.
