About

Alex was born and raised in Calgary. She grew up playing soccer, basketball, and rugby and has been no stranger to injuries. Working closely with physiotherapists in her youth inspired Alex to pursue a similar career path, and by age 14 she knew she wanted to be part of the profession. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary and a Master's degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta.

Alex started her physiotherapy career in orthopaedics with a focus on identifying root causes of movement dysfunction, and retraining the body in optimal movement patterns. These are principles that Alex continues to implement in her Pelvic Floor treatments.

Alex’s passion in physiotherapy is pelvic floor rehabilitation and she works closely with patients experiencing lumbopelvic pain, pain with intercourse, bowel and bladder dysfunction, prolapse, and concerns related to pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Her aim is to empower and encourage her patients to take an active role in their health and provide them with the tools to reach their goals.

When she is not working, Alex can usually be found in the mountains – hiking, camping, snowshoeing, and skiing!
