About

Dr. Morrow trained as a family physician, and subsequently completed additional coursework in occupational medicine. He has met the requirements for Associate in the Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine (ACBOM) and certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) by examination.

After completing medical school and residency at Memorial University of Newfoundland, he joined the Canadian Armed Forces. As a regular force member, he spent several years in Halifax in community family medicine and acute care settings in addition to the CFB Halifax clinic. He had the opportunity to deploy and practice in austere environments including West Africa and the Mediterranean. Recognizing the importance of occupational medicine within his military medical practice, he made this the focus of his work after release. He presently works in a variety of occupational medicine environments throughout Canada including government, worker’s compensation, and rehabilitation organizations.

During his time as a military medical officer, he participated in the training of various healthcare professionals and learners such as physicians, physician assistants, and medical technicians. He has also served as a past examiner for the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Since resuming civilian practice, he has provided educational sessions on a number of topics within various worker’s compensation boards in Canada. He regularly assesses workers and patients in Atlantic Canada in order to determine rehabilitation potential, as well as impairment status.
