Our services
Lifemark Harvey Avenue is a large multidisciplinary physiotherapy facility providing a full rehabilitation gym and private treatment rooms for physiotherapy, massage therapy, dizziness and balance and other treatments.
The Lifemark Harvey team includes Physiotherapists, Registered Massage Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Kinesiologists, Clinical Counsellors, and Psychologists. We treat a broad range of musculo-skeletal disorders resulting from work-related accidents, motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, and other sprains strains.
We have therapists trained in Vestibular therapy, Concussion therapy, TMJ, Hand therapy, IMS, Cervical and Lumbar traction, and modalities such as ultrasound, IMS, Acupuncture, Normatec(advanced compression therapy), TENS, and electrical stimulation. Our Certified Hand Therapist is a registered occupational therapist. Hand therapy is a specialized service for upper extremity and hand injuries and conditions. These include strains, wound care, arthritis and other diseases of the hand.
In addition we offer:
- Bracing - we fit with walking boots, off the rack knee, ankle, and wrist braces and custom splints.
- Custom splints - for hand and wrist injuries provided by our Certified Hand Therapist.
- Hydrotherapy - our Kinesiologists offer hydrotherapy (aquatic therapy) at Parkinson Rec Centre. Hydro or aquatic therapy has proven benefits for pain relief, weight-bearing after surgery or fractures, increased range of motion, strengthening, and general conditioning.
- Medical supplies - off the shelf hot and cold packs, foam rollers, bans, and other strengthening devices, and TENS machines.
- Employer testing - we have trained therapists that can provide Nurse Medical Assessments, Post Offer Employment functional testing, drug and alcohol testing, mask fit testing, pulmonary function and audiotory testing.
- Ergonomic assessments - our Occupational Therapists and Kinesiologists are trained to identify the risks associated with repetitive tasks, poor workstation setup and improper use of equipment. They can recommend changes and provide coaching that decrease the risk of injuries, reduce compensation claims and boost worker productivity.
