Travel health
Travel the world safely with the help of our clinicians and staff.
Our team is experienced in travel health medicine and immunizations and can provide health and safety recommendations for all international destinations.
International travel for business and leisure has increased dramatically. This expanded range of travel has increased exposure to health risks that are normally not prevalent in Canada. Exposures can originate from carriers of local diseases (e.g. food handlers), water sources and insects.
Common examples include hepatitis A or B, traveller's diarrhea, malaria, TB, yellow fever, and denque fever. Failure to keep standard Canadian immunizations current can also increase health risks.
The goal of travel health is to decrease the risk of disease and to prevent serious illness while enabling travelers to stay safe and healthy.
