About

Scott has been a Registered Psychologist since 1991. He recently retired from the Janeway Child Health Center (August 31, 2022) in St. John’s Newfoundland after 32 years of service. His focus was on the assessment and diagnosis of ADHD, and Specific Learning Disorders and ensuring that his clients received the appropriate supports and accommodations.

During the past 32 years he also worked in private practice providing individual counselling (anxiety, depression, chronic pain management, and CBT for PTSD for Workplace NL, paramedics, police officers, veterans and other front line workers).  His goal is to help individuals to take their life in the direction they want to go and be the person they want to be.

Scott is a registered with the Newfoundland and Labrador Psychology Board (NLPB) Registration #079, the Association of Psychology in Newfoundland and Labrador (APNL), and the Canadian Register of Health Service Psychologists (CRHSP).

Scott is also the first person in Newfoundland and Atlantic Canada to be promoted to the title of “Grandmaster” (9th Degree Black Belt) by the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF). He is also an avid runner, running 8 to 10 mile per day. He believes that in order to be mentally tough you first have to be physically tough, and that mental toughness is the key to maximizing your success in sport and in life.
