The Lifemark Physiotherapy Mohawk & Upper Wellington clinic is on the Hamilton Central Mountain.
It is at the intersection of Mohawk Road East & Upper Wellington Street in the Shoppers Drug Mart plaza. There is free parking in the plaza and local buses stop at the intersection.
The clinic and the washrooms are wheelchair accessible.
Our services
Lifemark Physiotherapy Mohawk & Upper Wellington specializes in physiotherapy and massage therapy for all types of clients.
Our specially trained physiotherapists provide assessment and rehabilitation for clients with vestibular dysfunctions (dizziness and balance difficulties) and concussions/post-concussive syndromes.
The clinic also provides work hardening programs and work conditioning programs as part of its CARF accredited occupational rehabilitation program.
We also provide an interdisciplinary pain management program.
Our physiotherapy and rehab clinic has been in this Hamilton location since 1995. We have a large well-equipped gymnasium for therapeutic exercise programs. The facility is 4500 square feet and is located entirely at street level.
Equipment includes a treadmill, upright bicycles, recumbent bicycles, a stepper, a large multi-gym, free weights, exercise balls and balance training aides.
There are two private treatment rooms, two massage therapy rooms, a four-bed curtained treatment area, and an open six-bed treatment area for our physiotherapy and specialty services.
In addition to our physiotherapy and massage therapy services, we offer a number of specialty programs.
The clinical staff includes:
- three experienced registered physiotherapists
- two registered massage therapists
- five registered kinesiologists
- three physiotherapy assistants
- two occupational therapists
- one certified pedorthist
We provide rehabilitation services for motor vehicle accidents, sport injuries, post-surgical, work-related (WSIB/employer) injuries, private patients, long-term disability, Bundle of Care patients, and eligible Community Funded (OHIP) clients.
The clinic provides a number of assessment services including WorkWell Functional Capacities Evaluations (FCE), home assessments, job-site assessments, ergonomic assessments, and assessments for return-to-work or treatment planning.
We can also provide acupuncture services, bracing (custom and non-custom), and custom orthotics. Custom orthotic services are provided by a registered pedorthist.
