About
Alicia graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy with distinction in 2018. Upon completion of this program, she was awarded the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Student Award. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Physical Education with distinction in 2015 at the University of Alberta.
During her Bachelor degree, she focused on sports performance. In addition to her university education, Alicia is also a registered personal trainer through the Canadian Fitness Professionals since 2011.
Over the years, Alicia has completed various certifications including EIM Functional Dry Needling (level 1), Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, Vestibular & Dizziness Rehabilitation and Soft Tissue Release. In addition, Alicia has completed further training in YogaFit and is a TRX group class trainer. These courses have allowed her to gain further knowledge about the human body and improve her skills for providing holistic care for her clients. Alicia hopes to pursue further education in areas orthopaedics and concussion management.
When Alicia is not at work, she enjoys running with her dog, hiking in the mountains, doing yoga, mountain biking, kayaking and rock climbing.
