Chris convocated from the University of Regina in 1995, receiving a degree in Physical Activity Studies with a major in Recreation Administration.

Chris has memberships and certifications with CSEP (Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology), SKESA (Saskatchewan Kinesiology & Exercise Science Association), EPIC Lift Certified, Isernhagen and Matheson Trained in Functional Capacity Evaluation and Ergonomic Assessments, CBAT-Certified Breath and Alcohol Technician and Certified D.O.T Professional Collector Technician.

Chris played baseball and slo-pitch and has represented teams both in provincials and nationals. Presently, he coaches flag football and enjoys volunteering with such events as the Canada Summer Games, and WCP soccer. His interests in physical fitness, hiking, curling, travelling with his family, and training his golden retriever Murphy keep him healthy and active.
