Emma graduated from the University of Queensland in Australia with a Master of Physiotherapy in 2012 and a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2008 from Brock University. She worked in Australia for one year upon completing her Master's degree and worked in aged care. There, she completed a pilates & Tai Chi course.
She continued her education after returning to Ottawa by completing multiple acupuncture and dry needling courses, a Mulligan lower extremity course, a MacKenzie lower back course, a chronic pain management course and attended bracing workshops. Since 2015, she has taken a keen interest with Concussion rehab by taking numerous courses including: intro to vestibular and concussion training, Impact training, Concussion: what about the neck? and most recently an online vestibular course.
Emma took over as Clinic Director at the Pro Physio Carling location in 2018 and was nominated the following year for best physiotherapist in Ottawa.
Emma has always been interested in sports, particularly figure skating. In elementary & high school she competed in synchronized skating at the national level. She turned to participating in three half marathons during her undergrad and since enjoys staying fit in the comfort of her home gym.
