About
Kim is a qualified Occupational Therapist licensed to practice in Ontario. She is registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) as well as a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). She obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Family and Social Relations from the University of Guelph and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University. Kim has experience in the physical, mental health, functional, cognitive, and psychosocial evaluation of individuals who are experiencing difficulties performing their essential tasks of daily living due to illness and/or injury.
She is trained to complete functional, neurofunctional and crisis assessments. Kim collaborates with clients to identify their goals for treatment and works together to create a plan to reach those goals. Kim has a certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy I through the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy through the Linehan Institue Behavioural Tech. She is invested in addressing suffering as it impedes full living and engages occupational therapy colleagues at a national level to progress tools and resources to support occupational therapists addressing suicide prevention in their practice.
When not working, Kim loves to walk, nia dance and be with family.
