Milan graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics in 1987. He then pursued a post-graduate diploma of Technology, Clinical Methods in Prosthetics and Orthotics at George Brown College, Ontario (1987-1989).

Upon graduation, Milan came to Calgary fulfilling his passion as a prosthetist. He has been servicing the amputee population in Calgary and surrounding area for 28 years and has looked after a number of amputees for this length of time; a testament to his passion for prosthetic care for his amputee patients.
