About

Niyati Sukhija is a registered physiotherapist who graduated in 2005 in India with a bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. She is also the Clinic Director at Lifemark Physiotherapy at Meadowvale Town Centre.

Having worked in a variety of settings, such as hospital-based physiotherapy, private and MVA clinics, and WSIB speciality clinics, she brings a multifaceted perspective to treatment. She has experience working with people with various musculoskeletal conditions, athletes, and people post fracture and post surgery. She is also actively working with the geriatric population, hip, and knee replacement clients.

Niyati uses a variety of techniques in her treatment, including patient education, joint mobilization, myofascial release, cupping therapy,  Active Release techniques, acupuncture, and individualized therapeutic exercise programs. Niyati has competed training in Acupuncture from McMaster University, has participated in various courses both in Canada and India in Vestibular therapy, concussion care, modern cupping, TMJ, McKenzie training and Mulligan’s Concept. She is also a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and Ontario Physiotherapy Association. She is also Work well trained to conduct Functional Capacity Evaluations and has participated in numerous Comprehensive Assessments with surgeons for WSIB speciality clinics.

Dedicated to continuing her education and evolving her skills, Niyati consistently thrives to evolve her practice by merging the most current, evidence based literature with a hands on approach. She is passionate about her work and takes pride in connecting with her patients as they embark on their healing journeys.
