About

Shaina graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2022, where she received the Joyce Manton Award for her clinical performance. She also has a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Health Studies from the same university. In 2023, Shaina obtained a certificate in Vestibular Rehabilitation and has since started treating vertigo, unsteadiness, and balance concerns. She is also certified to fit custom wheelchairs, walkers, and neck pillows.

Shaina was an executive member in the Physical Therapy Student Society and the Health Studies Student Society throughout her schooling. She was an active volunteer with SWITCH (Student Wellness Initiative Towards Community Health), Brain Awareness & Brain Blast with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and was a Peer Mentor to new students at the University of Saskatchewan.

Shaina is passionate about providing client-centered, evidence-based care to all. She is interested in a variety of clinical populations, including individuals with musculoskeletal concerns, chronic pain, vestibular dysfunction, vertigo and unsteadiness, physical deconditioning, TMJ disorders, and more. She is excited to include continued education into her practice. Shaina has experience working with individuals with Long COVID during her time as a Research Assistant with the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Medicine, School of Rehabilitation Science and during her clinical experiences at the University of Alberta.

In her free time, Shaina enjoys staying active with hobbies like yoga, canoeing, camping, gardening, and hiking. She also enjoys caring for animals, reading, spending time with friends and family, and has an extensive houseplant collection.
