Shannon O'Dea
About
Shannon is a Registered Psychologist in Newfoundland. She started her career working ten years within the local health care department in the field of behaviour management. She then moved to private practice where she established herself as psychologist, specializing in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and general counselling psychology. She has skill in both treatment and assessment.
She has a special interest and expertise in the effects of trauma and treatment of PTSD, and has completed training in cognitive processing therapy, an evidence-based treatment for PTSD. She currently works in a therapy and assessment role at Lifemark, providing services for individuals including military veterans and individuals involved in traumatic workplace experiences.
Shannon uses evidence-based approaches to her treatment, working with clients to help them identify goals and make the steps towards wellness.
