Steve graduated from UNB with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2012. He then took a year to work as a kinesiologist in a very busy multi-disciplinary clinic to gain valuable experience before heading back to school to attain a Master in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University in 2015.
Steve has taken post-graduate courses in advanced manual and manipulative therapy, soft-tissue release, acupuncture and functional dry needling, to name a few. He is very keen to continue his education and is looking forward to enhancing his skills at other courses in the future. Steve believes strongly in a multifaceted approach to helping patients obtain the goals they set, involving manual therapy, exercise, dry needling and a strong emphasis on educating patients about their condition.
Steve is also still involved with Dalhousie School of Physiotherapy as a lab instructor (teaching assistant) as he really enjoys giving back to the profession.
Steve hails from Skinner's Pond, PEI and grew up playing hockey and competitive volleyball where he competed in multiple national events. Steve continues to play hockey and volleyball and also enjoys weight training, yoga and running. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends and traveling the world whenever possible.
