Vivian Chan

Physiotherapist

About

Vivian graduated from University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts Cooperative Work Experience Program in psychology. During her co-op program, she worked as an intern at a Lifemark clinic in Edmonton that specializes in chronic pain. Through that experience, she became interested in working in rehabilitation and subsequently applied to the physiotherapy program at University of Alberta and graduated with a Master of Science.

Vivian loves working with clients from different backgrounds and ages. She has completed her training in level one Shift concussion management and is interested in pursuing further education on acupuncture, vestibular and advanced concussion management.

Vivian incorporates the client's lifestyle preferences in planning her treatment sessions because she believes the most effective therapy should be fun and engaging. She is also an advocate of teaching clients to become active participants in their rehabilitation so they can manage their conditions through therapeutic exercises.

In her youth, Vivian trained in competitive swimming and has a black belt in Goju-ryu karate. During her spare time, she enjoys playing recreational volleyball, water sports, working out in the gym and is currently pursuing more PADI scuba diving certifications.
