About

Sophie is a graduate of McGill University with a Masters of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy, and also holds a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. She is registered with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and the Newfoundland and Labrador Occupational Therapy Board (NLOTB).

Sophie began her career in Quebec, working in the field of assistive technology. She then switched to the field of return-to-work, starting out with Lifemark at Physiothérapie Universelle in Montreal, before moving to Newfoundland and joining the FIT For Work team. Throughout her career, Sophie has gained experience in case management as well as home and ergonomic assessments with a variety of populations.

Since joining the Fit for work team, Sophie has completed training in ergonomics as well as assessment protocols for pre-employment testing. As a new therapist, she is looking forward to broadening her skill set to better help her clients overcome barriers preventing them from doing the activities they value and enjoy.
