About
Danielle graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and Distinction in Clinical Practice from the University of East London, UK in 1991. Since graduating, she has continued to further her clinical expertise and education by completing several International accredited courses in Manipulative Therapy as well as being actively involved in post graduate teaching.
In 1995, Danielle earned a master’s level qualification in Manual Therapy from the University of Sheffield, UK. She is a Certified Practitioner in various methods of IMS dry needling (Gunn, Gokavi) and is trained in Rehabilitative Pilates for the injured athlete. She is a registered Independent Management Consultant in Alberta for MVA related injuries, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists and is a licensed professional for ordering diagnostic imaging tests associated with musculoskeletal disorders.
Throughout her career, Danielle has worked in a variety of clinical settings both within a hospital and community private practice setting. In the early years, she worked in a competitive sport environment treating rugby and soccer professionals. She moved to Canada in 1998 and has worked in several private practices, specializing in spinal and peripheral injuries and rehabilitation, TMJ disorders and multidisciplinary pain management.
Danielle’s current practice is focused on client centred treatment in a 1:1 individualised care setting with emphasis on education and prevention, addressing the causative factors of injury. A hands-on treatment approach incorporating manipulative therapy, exercise prescription and education is integral to her outcome success.
In her free time, Danielle is an avid outdoor enthusiast. She can be seen enjoying and exploring the great outdoors on foot, skis or bike with her family and friends.
