About

Ellen is a highly skilled physiotherapist with over 15 years of experience. She graduated from Queen’s University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and has been working at Lifemark Max Bell Sports Physiotherapy ever since. Ellen has continued her education through post-graduate studies, receiving a certificate in orthopedic manual therapy from Curtin University in Perth, Australia in 2007 and a certificate in manipulative therapy in 2011. Since 2006, she has been accredited by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and has been utilizing acupuncture treatment with many of her clients.

Her passion for helping people extends to her work with vestibular and concussion clients. In 2013, she received a certificate in vestibular rehabilitation from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and has taken specific courses in concussion therapy and mild traumatic brain injury to improve her skill set. Ellen also has a long history of playing and coaching competitive rugby, gymnastics, and swimming, which has given her a unique perspective in working with athletes on rehabilitating and preventing injuries. She is committed to motivating all of her patients to achieve full recovery and prevent further injury through manual therapy, exercises, and patient education.

When not at work, Ellen enjoys downhill skiing, climbing, and mountain biking. She loves exploring and spending time in the mountains with her husband and two kids, and her active lifestyle helps her to better understand and relate to her clients' needs.
