Fiona Smith Bradley
About
Since 1998, Fiona has provided community-based occupational therapy and ergonomics services to individuals recovering from traumatic injury and illness, including musculoskeletal and orthopaedic injuries, acquired brain injury, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other mental illness. Her experience involves handling complex files where individuals are facing both physical and psychological challenges in their lives as a result of their impairment and/or disability. In addition to assessing and working to improve the individual’s function at various stages of their recovery, she is frequently asked to consult on home modification, ergonomics, and return to work issues.
Fiona is certified to administer the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP), an evidence-based treatment program for reducing disability associated with pain, depression, and other chronic health conditions. She has also completed specialized training in Office and Industrial Ergonomics, and in handling complex Return to Work situations.
Fiona has completed functional assessments for over 20 years, that determine whether an individual’s level of impairment and disability following a motor vehicle accident would be classified as Catastrophic as defined by the Ontario Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule. In 2018, Fiona completed the C-Cat certification course presented by the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators at the Functional Observer level for occupational therapists.
Fiona is a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). She also holds membership with the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT). She was a recipient of the 2012 Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and Ottawa Business Journal Top 40 Under 40, for business achievement, professional expertise and community involvement.
