About

Originally from Calgary, Jamie moved to Edmonton to complete her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biological Sciences at the University of Alberta. Following the completion of this degree, she moved to the UK to pursue a post-graduate degree in physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland. Jamie completed her Master's degree in 2012, and after enjoying several months of travel, she returned to Calgary to start her professional career.

Jamie has since become passionate in the specialized field of Women’s Pelvic Health. She gained a healthy respect for this area of physiotherapy practice during her first pregnancy. Jamie has a keen interest in treating incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, dyspareunia (pain with intercourse), and helping pre-and postpartum women return to their symptom-free daily activities and sports.

Jamie has been involved in advanced education regarding the specific needs of pregnant and postpartum women. She works closely with urogynecologists and has gained an advanced awareness of surgical procedures and gynecology. She has also been very fortunate to have been involved in extensive pelvic health mentorship. Jamie's gentle demeanor and kind heart make her well-suited towards this intimate area of physiotherapy practice.

Jamie has been working in private practice since she returned to Alberta in 2012, and has completed several courses including K-taping, dry needling (also known as IMS), orthopedic division levels one and two, and ongoing advanced orthopedic development. Her current practice focuses on exercise prescription, client education, and manual therapies.
