About
Michelle graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
Michelle has a strong interest and passion in vestibular therapy and concussion rehab. She has obtained extensive training, as well as mentorship with the Lifemark vestibular program. She also attended the Vestibular Competency course at Emory University in Atlanta, which is a high-level, intense, evidence-based vestibular program. At Lifemark Meadowvale, we utilize infra-red video goggle technology for thorough assessment and treatment purposes. Michelle has also received concussion certification with “Shift Concussion.” Michelle would be happy to assist you with any of your vestibular and concussion needs including dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, vision changes, motion sensitivity, post-concussion symptoms, etc.
Michelle has also obtained full certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Combined/Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) with two highly reputable schools, Dr. Vodder Academy International (https://vodderschool.com/about-us) and Klose Training (https://klosetraining.com). Michelle can adequately assist clients affected with lymphedema, swelling/edema post-surgery or post-injury, for various inflammatory conditions, as well as for cancer/disease prevention and detoxification purposes. Michelle is also passionate about working and helping cancer clients through cancer care rehab.
As well, Michelle has advanced training in manual therapy with the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is skilled at utilizing hands-on therapy for sports-related injuries, motor vehicle accidents, work-related injuries, general sprain/strains, arthritic pains, sciatica, post-op, etc.
Furthermore, Michelle has acupuncture training with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and she is also certified in Fasical Stretch Therapy (FST). Michelle is a Graston Technique provider, a certified Sigvaris Compression Fitter, and has also taken post-graduate training in Mulligan mobilization with movement, McKenzie treatment, soft-tissue release, therapeutic taping, modern cupping, and orthotics.
Michelle is committed to lifelong learning and is always looking for ways to further improve her skills to better serve her clients. Michelle is offering both in-person therapy and virtual/tele-rehabilitation.
