Rohil Gupta
About
Rohil’s interest in physiotherapy began while helping his grandfather recover after a knee replacement surgery. As part of his rehabilitation, Rohil assisted with home exercises and gentle range of motion work. Seeing his grandfather gradually move better and regain confidence through physiotherapy sparked his interest in the field and its ability to improve quality of life.
Rohil completed his Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Psychology before earning his Master of Science in Physical Therapy, both at the University of Alberta. His background in psychology shapes how he approaches care, with a focus on understanding the person behind the injury and creating a supportive space where patients feel heard and respected.
Rohil believes that meaningful recovery begins with feeling understood. He takes time to listen carefully to each patient’s story, understand their goals, and explain their condition in clear and approachable terms. His goal is to help patients feel confident in what is happening in their body and how physiotherapy can support their recovery. By combining education, exercise, and hands-on treatment, Rohil works collaboratively with patients to help them move better and return to what matters most to them.
Rohil enjoys working with individuals from all walks of life and supporting goals that are meaningful to each person. Whether that means returning to the gym, staying active at work, or simply moving with less discomfort, he is motivated by helping people feel capable and empowered in their bodies.
He understands the physical and mental challenges that can come with pain or injury and strives to create treatment plans that are realistic, motivating, and sustainable. Outside of the clinic, Rohil enjoys working out, going on hikes, and exploring new cafes around the city. His appreciation for movement and balance carries into his clinical practice, where he aims to support long term health and confidence in every patient he works with.
