About

Dr. Dauphinee is a chiropractor who considers himself a “body engineer,” combining his background in mechanical engineering and biomechanics with his passion for helping people move and feel better.

His path to chiropractic care began after completing a mechanical engineering degree with a focus on biomechanics. After injuring his back while doing heavy squats at the gym, he found it painful to sit at his engineering job. During that time, he became increasingly interested in preserving the human body, rather than focusing on engineered replacement parts for it.

After trying several therapies for his pain, he was eventually referred to a medical specialist who told him he would never lift weights again. Unwilling to accept that outcome, he tried chiropractic care. After only a few sessions, he was back in the gym and pain-free. That experience inspired him to pursue chiropractic care, leading him to enrol at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. His engineering background became a valuable part of his studies, helping him understand the forces placed on the body in different postures and movements.

His volunteer work with the local sports community has led to several opportunities in athletic care. He was selected as co-lead medical for the Sidney Crosby Hockey School from 2015 to 2017 and served as the lead chiropractic mentor for Lifemark Atlantic. He was also the first chiropractor to be part of the Hockey Nova Scotia Performance Camps and assisted with the 2015 Canada Games men’s hockey team, which achieved its best placement since the 1970s.

His experience with the Saint Mary’s University football team also led to his involvement with Football Canada’s Junior National Team camp in 2019. In 2022, he was selected to treat the Saskatchewan Roughriders. More recently, he supported athletes as a chiropractor at the World Canoe Championships in 2022 and the North American Indigenous Games in 2023.

His mission is to help people living with pain understand the potential of their bodies. He is passionate about motivating and guiding patients toward better health, improved function, and greater confidence in their movement.
