Jennifer is originally from Brandon, Manitoba and moved to Calgary in 2016. She is a proud 2015 graduate of the University of Manitoba where she received her Master of Physical Therapy.
Since graduating, Jennifer has pursued her interest in orthopaedic physiotherapy by obtaining post-graduate certifications in level 1 Kinetacore dry needling, the McKenzie method for the lumbar spine, the Mulligan concept for the upper body, and kinesiology taping. She plans to continue her training and complete the Advanced Diploma of Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Jennifer utilizes an evidence-based approach of detailed assessment and individualized treatment, with a strong emphasis on client education, exercise prescription, and manual therapy. She is a member of the Banff Sports Medicine knee clinic team which involves data collection and rehabilitation following ACL and MPFL reconstructive surgeries.
Jennifer was previously a team physiotherapist in the Manitoba AAA midget hockey league for two consecutive seasons while holding a sport first responder certification through the Canadian Red Cross. As a physiotherapy student, she held a senior chair position in the College of Rehabilitation Sciences Student Association and achieved several awards and academic scholarships.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys a variety of athletic endeavours including team sports, mountain biking, and snowboarding.
