Jennifer has been a member of the Lifemark Physiotherapy Springborough team since 2016. She received her Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2015 from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg and is originally from Brandon, Manitoba.
Since graduating, Jennifer has gained experience in assessment and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries in populations of all ages and activity levels. She utilizes an individualized approach to treatment that combines manual therapy, dry needling, exercise prescription, therapeutic electrical modalities, and education.
Jennifer works with the Banff Sports Medicine orthopaedic surgeons at a weekly knee clinic which involves collecting patient data following knee surgery. She is currently participating in advanced post-graduate training through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association focusing on orthopaedic manual and manipulative therapy. She has experience as a clinical instructor for University of Alberta physiotherapy students undergoing required orthopaedic rotations.
Outside of the clinic Jennifer participates in a variety of athletic activities including team sports, mountain biking, downhill and cross country skiing, indoor rock climbing, and hiking. She is a volunteer committee member of Sport Physiotherapy Canada - Alberta Division, an organization that unites physiotherapy with the sport community in Alberta through advocacy, education, and research.
Jennifer was previously a team physiotherapist in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League for two consecutive seasons (2014-2016). As a physiotherapy student, she held a senior chair position in the College of Rehabilitation Sciences Student Association and was the recipient of several awards and academic scholarships (2013-2015).
