Leanne Huck joined the Lifemark team in 2010. Leanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Masters of Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University. During Leanne’s years at Dalhousie University she competed as a dual sport athlete in soccer and track and field and was named Dalhousie’s Athlete of the Year in 2007 and 2008. She was also named the Atlantic University Sport Athlete of the Year in 2007. The highlights of her soccer career were representing Canada at the World University games in 2007 in Thailand and winning the Canadian Senior Women Championships in 2003 and 2010. The highlights of her career as a sprinter was winning a gold medal at the Canadian University Championships in 2005 and representing Nova Scotia in the Canada Game in 2001 and 2005. Currently, Leanne continues to play soccer in the Nova Scotia Soccer Premiership League and just completed her first Bluenose Half Marathon. Leanne has continued her education following University by taking courses in manual and manipulative therapy, dry needling, acupuncture, movement disorders, and Mackenzie’s Lumbar Spine Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. Over the years Leanne has given back to sport by coaching soccer and track a field. As a physiotherapist she has volunteered at numerous sporting events including Canada Games and the World Beach Volleyball Championships. Leanne enjoys combining her passion for sport and exercise with preventive and rehabilitation therapy. Her treatment philosophy is that hands on treatment combined with a personalized exercise program is essential in helping clients reach their rehabilitation goal.
