Nicole Burling
About
Nicole earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University and her Master’s of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. She has many years of experience working in the orthopaedic rehabilitation setting. She also has extensive experience working with high-performance athletes in strength and conditioning, sports performance training, and on-field and off-field injury prevention and management.
Nicole has completed many advanced post-graduated courses as listed above. All of this training has allowed Nicole to achieve success in treating a variety of complex conditions, stubborn injuries, persistent pain and high-performance athletes. In the clinic, Nicole has had great success combining a variety of techniques in order to achieve maximal results for even the most complex conditions/injuries. She incorporates many techniques including advanced manual/manipulative therapy, osteopathic techniques including craniosacral and visceral mobilization, myofascial release techniques, acupuncture, IMS/dry needling, taping, education about the mind-body connection, specific exercise prescription and retraining of optimal movement patterns/biomechanics. She looks at the body as a whole to get to the source of your pain, effectively correct the underlying pathology, and prevent a recurrence. Osteopathic techniques utilized can also help free up deeper restrictions which supports the body's ability to heal itself and promote overall health and well-being. She has a passion for engaging clients to achieve their activity related goals, whether it is to return to work-related tasks, leisure activities, high-performance sport, or simply everyday tasks.
